Thanks. Not gonna make a tag for following tutorials just yet (because idk how many other posts it could apply to, not to mention the name), but just fake video will cover the concept.
Should I tag mimihime_(tengoku_daimakyou) with hair_ears, or should I go with animal_ears? 10/20 is tagged hair_ears, and 1/20 is tagged animal_ears atm

Honestly, I don't see any especially strong argument for either on most of those posts. I'd use hair flaps for most of them, except for the few that stick out extra and really start to look more like slightly perky ears.

I need quite some help with post #7448099. It seems these two characters are manga original? They are based on the game protagonists but should they warrant new tags or do I just tag them with the protagonists names?
Also, what's the boy hairstyle? It looks like it's combed neatly to one side. And what's the lock of hair that sticks out the front of the boy's (and the girl's too) hair called? Is it cowlick?

Ops. Those are her actual ears, not hair_ears or hair_flaps. Probably very_long_ears is better than animal_ears? I don't think those are actual animal ears (donkey for example), just weird ears

I wouldn't tag any mimihime with animal ears, mostly because even if they technically are, they're too different from what is usually tagged animal ears and looks much closer to hair flaps or hair ears, very long ears is also out of the question.

Pokemon Adventures protagonists are tagged with their game equivalents. In this case, the tags would be juliana (pokemon) and florian (pokemon).

I did some poking on side braid and side ponytail. It seems that for most pictures (totally open to second opinions on this) side braids appear to start at the scalp to the top of the jaw line, usually extending all the way down to the hair tip. I would say that's simply a braid as it is one that looks like it is about to be undone.
