My question would be, why are the other beds would even be accessible to the player, if she never owns them?
Maybe she just wants to leave a mark of territory...
It always seemed like such a weird game mechanic to have. It doesn't even have any extra commentary for world building or anything. For example. I could easily replace the bed thing with maybe a tree climbing thing (like letting Protag climb every tree she sees) and that would actually fit with flavor text saying how you can see certain pokemon in that region.

It's for Lillie's bed/sofa, that's the only plot relevant one, and the only one that changes from the start and the end of the game, the other ones are just filler so the Lillie's one isn't alone.

Considering Lillie's bed, it's even more necessary to have Gladion's too, so we could compare the siblings : D

Honestly it's just a fun thing to have, I suppose.
And it gives great meme material.
It's kinda like the games still letting you check trash cans even though they stopped having stuff in them since... FR/LG?

Gladion leaves the hotel room, and Anabel (very temporarily) stays in it during the end-game plot, however.
