Small translation error, palesee. Remilia didn't fight with Reimu at all. What she meant was that if she had killed them all, Reimu would kill her. That's why she let half of them live.

Remi's just overflowing with charisma here, isn't she?

keep in mind however frightening damaku may be it is non-lethal in an actual fight the power scale is changed dramaticly with the main characters being overshadowed by the boss characters in most instantes.

It has nothing to do with her level and everything to do with her being the culprit behind a major incident.

Also, canonically, vampires are seriously strong. It took a small war and a good bit of force the agreement on them to not hunt humans after all.
