also it's hilarious that Remilia's weakness is also what makes Nitori strong. Nice setup for such a chance to pin Reimu (by causing the "lol brain damage" thing), wonder if Remilia or Reimu will come back from this.
It's gone a bit yu-gi-oh on us. That is one side having a solution to anything the other side can throw at them regardless of what it is (predict everything).
Thats the good part of having Patchy on your team.
This fight has actually gone from meh to great in my opinion, first I thought "let Red 75% just win fast" and now I actually wouldnt mind anyone winning. GJ
Well Marisa and CO better finish this up soon, I bet they will run out of tricks soon, for more prepared they were, and all that will be left is a very pissed off Remmy out for some blood

Yup. Reimu and Remi continue to not be permitted to have any effect on the match despite theoretically being one of the teams involved.
(So I was wrong earlier. It's not Batman versus Superman. It's Meme Batman Given Prep Time versus Anyone.)
EimiYoshikawa said: If that's holy water, it might just make up for the last match.
Actually it doesn't seem like Remi is weak to holy water. Especially if you listen to what she asks Reisen for if you beat her in Soku. Holy Water Dumplings...
Well, place your bets ladies and gents. Does a kappa striking from her element surpass a pissed off vampire who could just as likely snap her like a twig if the water wasn't in her face?

It's more like Marisa and NItori gone Moonsue. Honestly if they win, they won't win the next match after that as none of the other teams will be willing to give them anything close to an inch.

Holy water, no, but I think she still has the vampiric weakness to RUNNING water.

Who cares? Beating Reimu is far more satisfying than winning the tournament.
Of course This is just burning up any reserves of Water they could use later to recharge Nitori. Her timer's ticking and they HAVE to rush and attack else both Nitori and Marisa will likely be incapacitated from just being in the barrier zone. (Nitori's burning power just by being in there and Marisa may or may NOT be pushing towards exploding from the 'enhancement' Mima gave her)
Remilia and Reimu will be able to win if they can slow the battle down or shift the momentum in their favor.

Not just that; Kirisame Familia has unique advantages here, due to Remi's vampiric nature and weaknesses. How would they handle a team like Lost Servants or Team Moriya?

They aren't using water to recharge Nitori. Alice has been giving Patchy magic through contact, Patchy is converting that magic to water essence to recharge Nitori.
This isn't really burning through anything, they'd have kept using the arms to shake up Reimu if Remi hadn't broken them.
Sadly, Reimu's plot armor will win in the end. So far almost everyone who's been tossed around so much like this has won their match.
But, it's customary for the villains to be an imposing obstacle, no? I'm just happy the author found a way for our secondary protagonist to put up such a fierce position.
So far, it seems Marisa and Nitori were ahead for the whole match so far. I'm expecting a reversal of situation very soon. With how pissed Remilia seems to be, I actually expect her to endure the water and smack Nitori back.

Indeed. My only real complaint is that is has been as one-sided as it has so far. I'd like some back and forth as they serve as that imposing obstacle.
randomness said: I am almost certain that hydraulics don't work that way. The way its drawn makes it look like a metal hose than any kind of hydraulic controlled arm.
Yeah, you might get this kind of appearance for a second or two upon cutting open a hydraulic piston, but not from slicing a hydraulically controlled mechanical device.
(A few circles drawn inside the cut-off ends, to imply that we're actually seeing the spray from a number of hoses carrying water to the arms' extremities, would have been enough to fix this without having to play the "LOL EXPECTING LOGIC IN GENSOKYO" card.)
Lest people get the wrong impression, I feel I should clarify that I am disappointed in the fight, not in who is winning. Nitori is the only character who still actually makes any difference to the match, unless you count Nitori's backpack as a distinct character which I think I may have to start doing.

Lost Servants, throw beans at Suika (Kidding). They'd probably do everything in their power to avoid Suika and attempt to beat Sakuya with grappling moves since her time ability can't do anything about that.
With Team Moriya they'd probably do the same, focus on goading Sanea into tagging with Suwako and then exploiting her lack of combat ability and air headedness, chances are that Sanae is probably going to attempt to keep Suwako on a a leash (If she can even manage it) after what happened last time so they might be easier, then again, Sanaea might start preaching about using their own power and not tricks which could beat Kirisame Familiar emotionally.
If they fought Eternal Rivals then it would be really easy just to goad Mokou and Kaguya into fighting with one another, Higan Judgment wanted that team to do better and tried to get them to work together, Kirisame Familiar would be doing the opposite and it would honestly by easy I think.
As for Heavan & Sky Combo... on the one hand, they're the team that had the cleanest match so there would likely be no fear of retaliation to their diryty tricks but they're also the only team that has two balanced partners without issues aside from Red 75%, their only obvious weakness would be Okuu's problem with sleeper moves.
Really, Heaven & Sky Combo and Red 75% are the worst teams for Kirisame Familiar to fight, if they could manage to at least get through this round then they could bank on H&S Combo getting beaten by Lost Servants or by Eternal Rivals due to having to go through two consecutive matches.
Anyone remember that Reimu found a weakness in the magic barrier thing? Cmon she didn't get to use that at all yet so you know it's not going to be over, not yet.

Not really a weakness, she just figured out how to do the same thing Byakuren can do. But yes, I agree that this isn't over yet.

I am sure beans would come into play, Suika is gonna get trumped at some point, she is just too much hax.
Nevran said: ... Marisa, why did you catch Reimu? Let her crushing her bones in the ground and pin her. BE A HEEL!
If Reimu is too dizzy/near unconcious to use her internal barrier then she might die from falling from that height (even if it wsn't that high she might have landed on her head). Not only is that a DQ loss for Team Kirisame Familiar, but Marisa is still Reimu's friend. I think killing Reimu or paralyzing her for life are big "No-no's" in Marisa's book even if Mima would probably get off on it.
It'd be meaningless if we didn't win when we tried our best! And Nitori has once again soared!Smack! It is literally a strike from a kappa in her element!!And Nitori has once again soared! What the!?
It is water!Flowing WaterEpisode 745: A Kappa's SourceFrom the Artist's Pixiv page.OooohI was afraid you might see through this when you grabbed that heated iron! There is a large amount of water coming out from the severed parts! The kappa's arms are hydraulic-powered!It is literally a strike from a kappa in her element!!
