Hatsune Miku (初音ミク)
Hatsune Miku is Crypton Future Media's singing synthesizer based on Yamaha's Vocaloid 2. It also refers to the mascot character of the same name. The name is a word play: Hatsune (初音) meaning First Sound, and Miku (ミク) deriving from the Japanese slang for Mixer. The official design was created by KEI: http://kei-garou.net.
She has aqua shaded hair in twintails and blue eyes. She wears a gray sleeveless top with a necktie, has detached sleeves, a pleated skirt, and black thigh boots.
Her voice is based on Fujita Saki, who also voices Odori Momoha in the Gakuen Utopia Manabi Straight! anime series.
Her popularity is known widely among Vocaloid fans and non alike, she featured in the video game series Project DIVA, has concert events such as MikuPa 3/9, and is the influence behind many fanmade derivations; See List of Vocaloid derivatives.
She made a cameo appearance in character on the last episode of Zoku! Sayonara, Zetsubou Sensei, in a voice acting audition to find out who shall voice Otonashi Meru.
