comic -translated -translation_request should do the trick. Don't really need to add another tag for something like that I think.

but then there's silent comics where there's text for sounds, I think we should have a tag if we don't have one already

...it may be just my misunderstanding, but can member account use this combination?

they can only use two tags, so no. That's why I think a tag for silent comics would be useful. I guess I could just go and start tagging. I might do it later...maybe

albert has said in the past that we shouldn't add features, tags, pools, and the like for the sake of enabling Member-level users to get around the limitations.

That said, however, I like the idea of a silent comic or no text tag. It's a specific comic art device, used to give more impact to the visible actions and expressions, and to leave the dialogue (if any) implicit in the reader's imagination. We see it all the time in the Chibi Miku-san comics. I think it's worthy of tagging in its own right.

Call them "Chaplin's".

Anyway I agree with making a tag. As Sgcdonmai said it is more then just simplifying a search, it is a format in it's own right.

I like "silent comic" myself just because if you stop to think about it... ya it breaks the brain. Also it adds a bit of humour to the tag's concept.

Only if it's the rule for the entire 4koma and not just one or two panels should a post qualify for the tag.

Sound effects or nonsense speech shouldn't be enough to disqualify a post as 'silent'. Considering that these and pictorial quotes represent speech of sorts, 'silent' isn't exactly the best terminology. Wordless_comic or no_text is more accurate.

How to handle descriptive text that isn't speech of a character?
