Tag Alias: touge36⑨ -> touge369

Posted under General

Aliasing touge36⑨ -> touge369.
OR
Aliasing touge369 -> kubiwa_tsuki.
Aliasing touge36⑨ -> kubiwa_tsuki.

Reason: It is stated in howto:tag that only easily typeable characters should be used in tags. If the artist's real name is Kubiwa Tsuki, then the best solution would be to alias both variants to kubiwa_tsuki. (See discussion below.)

Edit: I tried creating an alias in the other direction by adding touge369 to the "Other Names" field in the artist entry. This did not work the way I had hoped, tag searches for touge369 (or kubiwa_tsuki) are not being mapped to touge36⑨. Wouldn't it be beneficial to let alternative artist names work as implicit tag aliases?

Edit 2: Standarized the alias request.

It wouldn't since a lot of artists have the same alias, then the database would get messed up.

Just point out which artists are the same person or which name you prefer to use, we'll handle them case-by-case.

Aliases and implications are restricted to admins only. All the "Other Names" field does is redirect you to the main artist entry when using the search field under the "Artists" tab. In other words, searching for touge369 or kubiwa_tsuki gives you touge36⑨ instead.

If the artist's name is actually Kubiwa Tsuki, we alias to their actual name, not their handles or pseudonyms. The aliases should be:

The artist has "とうげ(首輪付き)" as his nickname on Pixiv, which romanized is "touge (kubiwa tsuki)." I have no idea where "369" came from.

It's all confusing to me, so I guess jxh2154 will decide which is the best tag to use.
