Tag alias/implication discussion

kagura is Kagura from azumanga_daioh and kagura_(gintama) is Kagura from gintama.

I tried adding black★rock_shooter -> black_rock_shooter (because normalized tags should not have non-ascii chars), but it wouldn't let me. Someone would need to delete the currently proposed alias (which is the inverse) first.

Some new ones I need help with:

Alias: thigh_cup -> wakamezake
I'm fine with it going either way. I know there's a preference for English tags, but this is kind of a unique-to-Japan thing (I think).

alternate_color
Is this gramatically correct? Should it be alternative_color?

alternate_color should be correct. Dictionary says 'alternate' can be used as an adjective, not just a noun or verb. Not that alternative_color is incorrect, mind you, so I'm fine with either.

"Alternate" and "alternative" are synonymous in this sense differing only slightly in their standard use to mitigate the ambiguity of their multiple senses. Either will serve you as well as the other.

thigh_cup -> wakamezake

bust cup and lap cup have been used so far. There's other aliases pointing to them.

How about rape -> sex
Even though the sex isn't wanted, it's still there.

group_sex -> sex
This one is obvious. If I do/don't want sex in my search, I want/don't want to see these images as well.

Vaginal -> sex
Vaginal is sex, it should be shown as sex.

Note: There are very few in vaginal that are labeled wrong, such as no penetration at all, or of something other then a penis. (Something I'm working on correcting.)

No_panties should probably be aliased to bottomless. The only reason not to is if someone wants bottomless pics but doesn't want bottomless bikinis or something.

IMO we should have doujin aliased to doujinshi, not the other way around. The wiki even says that doujin is used on danbooru as a short form of doujinshi.

I disagree with the idea of aliasing no_panties to bottomless. no_panties is appropriate when a girl is wearing a skirt but no panties, while bottomless is not.

Agreed, especially because a large number of no-panties images describe exactly that, no panties under a skirt. They serve distinct uses.

Not to mention that pretty much every Strike Witches image will qualify for "Bottomless", but not necessarily "no panties"

Although it seems to be misused often, any clothing like a skirt, panties, etc. that goes between the thighs and the waist would tend to disqualify a pic for bottomless. I think the Sky Girl's motion slits would tend to disqualify them for bottomless, as would any (not-open) leotard.

I meant Strike Witches, not Sky Girls. You are absolutely correct about Sky Girls, however.

I have a problem with the cardboard_box -> danbooru alias.
If anything it should be backwards but in my opinion it shouldn't exist at all.
Pictures with cardboard boxes should get the cardboard_box tag and stuff related to the site like the ones with how_to_danbooru should get the danbooru tag.

If it has to do with the actual site, then just tag it "meta," as in metahumor, since it's self-referential.

I'd like catbus -> nekobus reversed. If we're going by preference for Japanese naming, that should be nekobasu, which looks ridiculous.
