The character's name is spelled with two Ls. Apparently that was an error, since "palette" and "pallette" are technically different words. (The two-L version is a kind of armour plate -- sounds like it might go with robots, but Pallette was introduced alongside a character named Layer, which makes the theme pretty obvious.) Both words look the same in Japanese, so the screwup must have happened in translation.
If we fix the spelling, we can also drop the disambig. The tag for artists' paint thingies is "palette", as it should be, so no conflict.
