Tag for 八 eyebrows

Posted under Tags

I've been wanting to have this one forever but could never find a name. And still can't.
It's a major component of facial expression, and it's so ubiquitous (like blush) that I was confident a tag would eventually bloom. And somehow it still hasn't.

I guess the name is a big issue in why no one made this yet, because really that feature is everywhere, and I'm sure many would search for it.

I mean the tag only for the shape of the eyebrows, since this shape takes part in a variety of expressions depending on the rest of the face.

Specifically, the most accurate description I can think of is "eyebrows bending downward".
Meaning post #1055693 and post #1073479 would count, but post #1078963 wouldn't. I think the latter would be more suited having a different tag, maybe simply "eyebrows bending upward", notably because it matches a set of expressions that are less unvoluntary or reactions to something specific, and more neutral or controlled.

I've initially meant the concept only for when the inner part of the eyebrows is higher, which would make the use disctinct from frown.
But on second thought, combining the two would also allow for specific results (post #2199493), as opposed to when the eyebrows are frowned in a straight line.
I'm not set on this.

Any thoughts?

I'm sorry for not making this thread sooner, as there's probably half a million of relevant posts by now.

e: I forgot frown was used an as alias for :(. There should be a tag for the V eyebrows only, something else if not frown.

I've been eye-ing such 八 brow topics especially this for awhile now, and then today I accidentally found:
*tareme for the 八 brows ;and then following the link from there,
*tsurime for the V brows

Rather unheard-of-ish for newer people to use it for searching because of unfamiliarity of the Japanese term, but hey these two tags are the most accurate tags we can get to that splits the upward and downward definition for furrowed_brow / furrowed_eyebrows. Both tareme & tsurime tags are quite populated compared to the latter, too.

Might make a tag implication topic if the two tags are deemed working for furrowed_brow and other applicable brow terms.

If you check the tag descriptions, you'll note that tareme and tsurime refer to the slope of the eyelids and have nothing to do with eyebrows. If you're using those tags to search for eyebrows slanted in any direction, any matching search results are a fortunate coincidence. A couple quick examples of images where they don't match:

post #2356384 is tareme, upper eyelids slanting outwards, eyebrows slanting inwards
post #2419107 is tsurime, upper eyelids slanting inwards, eyebrows slanting outwards

But thanks for posting your suggestion here first rather than immediately acting on it and making a bunch of tag edits.

I admittedly have edited some, but decided to stop quarter-way because…nope, this isn't going to work. The lack of (the usage of) brow tags has left me confuzzled which to use, so…yeah.

What to use for the brows now then: just furrowed_brow as suggested, or the furrowed_eyebrows? I might be kinda leaning towards the former because reason.

Thank you, too! I've been enlightened from my silly misunderstanding.
