Speaking of which, I'd like udon moved to udon_(artist), as udon is the generic name of a noodle dish and it's gonna clash sooner or later.
If we were gonna qualify it, wouldn't udon_(circle) or udon_(comic_company) be more correct anyways?

Consistency vs specificity, I guess. Caryo is actually multiple artists too, but it's not a circle tag or anything, and it'd be problematic to separate them. We're pretty consistent with _(artist) as the qualifier. Though caryo isn't the best example I guess, as it's not qualified.
On the other hand, I guess it wouldn't hurt anything to use _(circle). I dunno, talk about it more, I'll decide later.
I would vote for udon_(comic_company) just for the sake of clarity, although I would settle for _(circle). I think that qualifiers, when used, should be accurate as to what the tag is, otherwise they aren't really preforming their function, you know?
_(artist) is of course most popular, but that's because usually when an artist tag requires a qualifier it's the standard singular artist. That doesn't mean that whenever an artist tag needs qualifying it should automatically get _(artist). Especially in these cases where it's a company or circle rather than one artist.
I would if I knew what I was searching for. Or I'd try one of the individual artist names. It would show as a suggestion as long as the udon tag didn't get huge anyways.
There's still the question of whether it should be qualified at all. I vote "useful although presently unnecessary", which is a fancy way of saying "I don't care as long as whatever's done is done properly".
"Udon" is the name of a dish. The tag being actually for a circle is confusing. We should qualify it because it generates conflicts with the real-world concept of "udon", without us needing any conflicting tags. And as for typing, I'm more concerned about taggers than searchers, I really don't care how long and awkward to type the tags you search for are.
Long tags are why I love wildcards (and part of why I complained when wildcard searches were ). I can type the first part and end with * and just pick the tag from the list, or a relevant image, etc. Thus even long tags aren't so bad.
Anyways, it should be qualified somehow, and it sounds like it's not a doujin circle so I guess circle is out...? How about just _(company)?
