"Someone has commented on your uploads" is too open to abuse

Posted under Bugs & Features

I realise it's a mod-only action, but this "Someone has commented on your uploads" message is really open to abuse.

If you want to comment on someone's uploads, there's a comments section and direct mentions feature using @.

Using DanbooruBot to anonymously comment is gross abuse of power.

I created issue #4045.

I, too, have received a somewhat rude message quite recently.

It might be that the same person is sending abusive messages to Kikimaru and me (and possibly other members).

Anyway, I'm afraid that this would needlessly discourage uploaders if it keeps going.

Are you two talking about the messages that are marked as a "detailed" rejection messages?
If so, then every approver can write such a message, not just mods (although I might read @Kikimaru 's "mod-only action" wrong.
If that's an occurring thing then real mods (:P) should be able to see who wrote such messages if they are really abusive. These messages should help other approvers understand when there is something blatantly wrong with an upload (like a 3rd-party edit).
