question about account

My previous account had been permanently banned for sockpuppeting. Under this condition, am I not allowed to use this site under any condition ever again, since it is forbidden to make accounts for avoiding bans? I want to buy a Platinum membership and I do not want to end up spending money for nothing.

Well, basically yes, you’re never allowed to have another account because that would be ban evasion, which is a bannable offense. The reason is that users who broke the rules once almost always break them again when they come back.

However, if you came back fully reformed and never did again what you used your previous sockpuppet for (vandalizing tags and wikis, writing garbage comments, shitposting, posting your own art, doing things other users tell you you shouldn’t do, whatever) and became a nice user that followed all the rules and good practices, nobody would notice. ;-) … But if you stepped over the lines again and someone noticed, you’d get banned again. You might get away with coming back reformed once, but if you get banned twice and try to come back, you’ll end up getting banned on sight, no matter what you do or don’t do.
