Could you please elaborate more, why you think that the wiki of DP should be updated? I don´t think that it´s wrong how it´s used by now and you can still search for spitroast without getting useless results. It´s also not implied to DP anyway.
1. It´s exactly what DP means, if the vagina/anus and the mouth is penetrated.
2. See above: you can still search for spitroast, without getting wrong results and it applies to both scenarios.
For reference, according to the wiki:
A sexual position usually involving a female where, typically, two of her three major orifices (mouth, vagina, and anus) are being penetrated by penis, tentacles, clenched hand, dildo, other inanimate objects or a combination thereof. May occur together with the spitroast position and group sex; furthermore, this action could involve the rarer double vaginal or double anal. Also known as a "sandwich" and also abbreviated as "DP".
I do have to say that it's being used as an umbrella term atm, and usage should be changed.

Afaik double penetration is commonly only used when there are insertions in both the vagina and the ass, and doesn't count when there's an insertion in the mouth (in which case it's spitroast).

Used by whom? A quick skirt through online dictionaries, Wikipedia and pornhub shows people liberally apply it to spitroasts too.
The only thing I would update is the spitroast wiki, that it shouldn´t apply to objects being inserted inserted, but only tentacles or penises. Maybe it´s already like that, but by now I don´t see why anything should be changed.
I don´t see why DP shouldn´t be used for oral and anal/vaginal, as it´s also defnied liked that on Wikipedia etc. as NNT said.

You can be penetrating both the mouth and vagina/ass without it being a spitroast. Spitroast requires the receiver be horizontal between the givers, which is not always the case.

That seems like an arbitrary and altogether unnecessary restriction. Changing the definition of double_penetration to implement this restriction would make it significantly harder to search for spitroast positions with exactly two simultaneous insertions as opposed to, say, five, or none at all.
Besides, if anyone doesn't want to see spitroast in their double_penetration posts, this is already easily achieved with a double_penetration -spitroast search.
Personally I've never thought of oral to be included in double penetration so I see where OP is coming from. At least back in the day when porn came on videotapes, DP pretty much always meant vaginal + anal, but I've never bothered to pay attention to how the usage has evolved.
