Lyrical Nanoha copyrights discussion thread

Basically, why are we tagging copyrights when nothing in the picture is indicative of the copyright other than the character's age? For instance, all older pictures of Nanoha get the Strikers tag even though nothing in the picture pertains to that copyright other than the character's age. This also applies to when the characters are younger with no other visual identifiers getting the Mahou Shoujo Lyrical Nanoha tag, or the A's tag if the characters from that series are present.

I'm of the opinion that unless there is something unique to a particular copyright in the picture, then it should just get the umbrella Lyrical Nanoha tag. For the age thing, we can add the younger or older tags, or perhaps create new character tags like takamachi_nanoha_(younger) and takamachi_nanoha_(older). Thoughts?

It's 10 (in-universe) years gap between Strikers and A's. Movies are filling the gap, but they are far from closing it (Nanoha still looks young there). IIRC there not even voice dramas nor manga covering this gap. So age is indicative here.

Well, there are several copyrights where Nanoha is younger and several copyrights where Nanoha is older, although it seems that mahou_shoujo_lyrical_nanoha and mahou_shoujo_lyrical_nanoha_strikers have become the de facto age indicators. It's just that using copyrights to indicate other taggable attributes in this fashion seems strange to me, plus it pollutes those copyright tags so that they're utterly meaningless in searching for stuff that actually has to do with the copyright.
