With the confirmation of a third live action sonic movie and a spinoff Knuckles series on streaming, I think it's appropriate that the live action Sonic projects have an umbrella tag similar to the Marvel Cinematic Universe and live action Transformers.
I don't feel like it's useful right now. The movies surely are becoming popular, but not enough in danbooru (both movie tags combined don't have even 50 posts). The reason for umbrella tags for MCU and Transformers is because these movie franchises are currently much more popular and relevant than their source material, so it created a need to separate them (for those who want to search exclusively MCU posts or Comic book posts for example). The Sonic movie franchise on the other hand is still very young and not solidified enough to need that yet.
