create alias pokemon_swsh_(anime) -> pokemon_journeys
Kinda overdue, but better now than never.

For someone who doesn't watch the anime, these pokemon_game_(anime) tags are a lot easier to navigate than using the series' official names. As such, it's better to keep this as pokemon_swsh_(anime) for consistency with the other pokemon_game_(anime) tags. When there's just one out of place it looks more like a tag for one of the spin-off specials, like pokemon_generations or pokemon:_twilight_wings.

And what about everyone else who knows it by its official name? It's a terrible precedent for us to just disregard proper names of copyrights just to appease users that can't be bothered to remember their names.
"Swsh anime" isn't even an accurate name, because it's not based in Galar, like previous seasons.
Honestly, it really annoys me how many of the pokemon related tags are tailored to the preferences of a handful of pokemon focused users, to the detriment of everyone else. We're still using "pokemon_m#" for all the movies, with no aliases, because like two users demanded they be left alone. Everyone else who doesn't have the release order of over 20 movies memorized has to go digging through wikis just to figure out which one is the one they're looking for, if they don't just google it.
The further away we get from things like that, the happier I'll be.

In terms of ease of use, the anime itself usually ties in with the game (same characters, same setting etc.) so using pokemon_game_(anime) and remembering which game has the same characters/region is easier than remembering five individual series names. It also helps users unfamiliar with the copyright as most of the time it's immediately obvious which one to use.
However, I agree with you about the films; they don't neatly reflect the games, and using their release order as a moniker rather than their actual names is not helpful to anyone but the more hardcore fans. I've created a BUR in topic #21291 to rectify this.
I don't watch the anime either, but even I acknowledge the current season is called "Journeys". As previously mentioned, this season has been a clear outlier compared to past seasons.
Things will get interesting once Scarlet/Violet releases and seeing what the anime will do, but we'll cross that bridge when we get there.

The previous seasons are officially titled "Pokemon the series: game and game," and they take place in the region of those games. Seasons 10-13 are all titled Diamond and Pearl and take place in Sinnoh. It makes sense to tag all four of those seasons as pokemon dppt (anime) because that's exactly what they are. This goes for every season except for the first two, which are titled "The Beginings."
Journeys doesn't operate like the previous seasons. It takes place in every region, and revisits old characters and pokemon. Galar itself only appears in around 8 total episodes of Journeys and Master Journeys. Journeys is not "Pokemon the series: Sword and Shield."
The bulk update request #10408 (forum #213043) has been approved by @Hillside_Moose.
This naming convention doesn't really matter to me either way as long as it's consistent, but now we have an inconsistency with the rest of the Anime tags. For example pokemon_rse_(anime) should be turned back to pokemon_ag and Pokemon_dppt_(anime) should be turned back to pokemon_dp_(anime), as they used to be. I'd only object to this change if for some reason these changes aren't going to be made as well.
I don't see why that matters. If we're going to use the proper names for Journeys as well and now all the Pokemon anime movies, there's no reason not to go back to use the proper names for the other anime seasons like Advanced Generation like we used to. Whether you use the official title of the anime or not shouldn't hinge on the region it takes place.
Basically this is the opportunity to properly name most of the Pokemon anime tag, it's arbitrary to make Journeys the exception.

The Hoenn seasons are only called Advanced Generation in Japan, English media titles it Pokemon the Series: Ruby and Sapphire. Pokemon Journeys is also the English title, in Japan it's just called Pocket Monsters, just like the original Kanto season. As has been explained, we can't just call it the SWSH anime because it's not as heavily based on the SWSH games like the previous seasons and their respective games.
Pokemon rse (anime) is consistent with the English localizations, and avoids using lesser known Japanese titles, which is sensible since we use the English names for everything else in the series, now. Most people don't consume exclusively Japanese based Pokemon media like might be the case for smaller copyrights, Pokemon is too big to be using Japanese titles no one is going to recognize.
Yeah I keep forgetting that Advanced Generations is the Japanese title.
Basically, I would prefer the anime titles to be more distinct from the game titles shorthands and properly reflect what they are titled in English due to the recent changes. For example, something like Pokemon_the_series:_Sun_&_Moon or Pokemon:_Sun_&_Moon_(the_series). Obviously it would make the titles more wordy, but convenience and shorthands were why the anime movies and journeys were named what they were named before to begin with and obviously those reasons were done away with.
With Journeys now and the anime movies finally changed with their full titles, I just think it's weird to leave the rest of the shorthands. Ah well.
