My fellow Americans,
Tuque is aliased to beanie, but our traditional spelling toque isn't aliased to beanie.
As an American, while tagging Erika Kose's winter clothes in post #5888373, I searched for toque, but settled on pleated hat and winter hat instead, the former of which NNT quickly corrected to beanie.
Tuque does not show up in autocomplete when typing toque.
I believe we should add this utility alias to allow our countrymen to brave the influx of winter imagery.
Wiktionary claims tuque is the Canadian spelling, which matches how it's pronounced in America (took). In Britain, they pronounce it as towk, matching the toque spelling.
This would also match the spelling of toque blanche, the classic chef hat.
