Aliasing succubus -> demon_girl.
Currently succubus implies demon_girl. I think succubus should be aliased instead as there's no visual difference between a succubus and any other demon girl.

The best I can come up with is that succubi tend to be depicted with normal-colored skin, bat wings, and occasionally head-wings (a la Morrigan/Lilith), whereas demon girl is a broader category that encompasses others as well (such as demon girls with horns).
I don't see any problem with leaving it as-is, but I wouldn't be averse to the alias, either.
hmm I am also disagreeing with this.
I would call it a demon, but not a demon_girl- like the things people create as characters. Every demon_girl isn't a succubus. A succubus has a 'female form', but it doesn't mean it is an actual female.
The people who create demon_girls; likely do it with the intention that they are indeed female. Unless you count the futa ones.
There is Incubus- which is a demon with a male form. But they are not demon_boys. So "sgcdonmai" saying there is a broader category when it comes to demon_(gender) - feels correct.

That also describes Koakuma, yet she isn't a succubus. The only reason Morrigan is considered a succubus and Koakuma isn't is because of their backstories, not because of their appearance.

There are many demon girls with horns that are tagged succubus.

This is true in principle, but in practice there's no way to tell the difference just by looking at the picture. Sometimes a post gets tagged succubus just because the character's backstory says they're a succubus, sometimes a post is tagged succubus when the character specifically isn't a succubus in her backstory, and the rest of the time the tag is applied more or less arbitrarily to random demon girls.
Blah. As much as I'd like to disagree with evazion, I have to agree with him. I've seen hentai manga with succubi with purely normal human apperances, those with horns, at least one where they had a forehead third eye, many without headwings, etc. Succubus is the class of demon, but beyond having a human appearance and being female there really isn't any concrete characteristics to define them.
