Tag Proposal: crotchless_clothing

I noticed crotchless_bikini in the tag listing, and I think it's a good time to bring this up: should there be a crotchless_clothing tag? Up until now, I've been fudging the crotchless_panties tag, using it for any kind of crotchless clothing, regardless whether or not they're actually panties.

Assuming crotchless_clothing is a good idea, should the crotchless_* tags be mass-edited to the new tag, or should it be an umbrella tag?

Somehow, I just knew that that image would spark some sort of discussion. Maybe we should add pointless_clothing and why_did_you_even_bother_donning_clothes_at_all? to the mix too, to cover our bases?

(Semi-)Sarcasm aside, I can imagine...crotchless_panties, which we have; crotchless_bikini, of which I indirectly caused the establishment; crotchless_leotard, which I'm certain I saw in screens of one of those rhythmic gymnastics pornos that's been going around; and [[crotchless_...uhh, pardon what else is there? Oh right, pants!

You know, I think it's better to just invent them as they actually come up. If you want to find all of it, you can do crotchless_* and move on with life.

In that case, wouldn't it be better to use crotchless_clothing as an umbrella tag (i.e. tag it with both that and the more specific tag)?

In this case I'd argue that, as the single tag with wildcard is equivalent to the umbrella (assuming we don't start coming up with new names for the few remaining pieces of clothing we can make crotchless), the umbrella is unnecessary.

People love their super-specificity, so if we do put a crotchless_clothing tag I imagine it should be an umbrella with the other specific ones implicated to it.

Yes crotchless_* would get them as well, but having a specific tag is more convenient for people.

Even though I made the umbrella tag suggestion, I'm more in favor of editing everything to crotchless_clothing, using combination searches in order to find whatever crotchless article of clothing one may want to search for (e.g. crotchless_clothing bikini, crotchless_clothing panties).

The one thing people always forget when talking about combination searches is that you can have more than one person in a single image and they don't have to be wearing the same thing. Sure a combo search will work fine when there's just one person in an image but in this case if there's two people in an image, one is wearing crotchless panties and the other is wearing a bikini it will show up under crotchless_clothing bikini even though it's not what you're after.

I'm in favor of keeping the specific ones with an implication to the umbrella tag.

I'd be in favor of using a crotchless_swimsuit tag instead of a crotchless_bikini tag though.
