You Need an Arrow to Draw a Bow

You need to be holding an arrow (projectile) in order to draw a bow to begin with.

ganyu seems to draw the bow without an arrow a decent amount of images cuz its energy or some shit idk i dont play genshin

You don't need an arrow to draw a bow back. There are plenty of posts which feature projectiles made of energy, but more importantly, there are also drawn bows which either don't have a projectile on the string (post #6040045) or have something which is definitely not an arrow (post #3762968).

The bulk update request #23732 (forum #270557) has been rejected by @Maiden_in_Orange.

You can have characters drawing things other than arrows, such as energy post #7102121 or post #6747617. Realistically though drawing a bow, ie pulling back the bow string, does not require one to actually be holding an arrow, though drawing it and dry firing the bow without the arrow can damage it.

Yeah, this was a doomed endeavor in hindsight. I was not aware of non-arrow drawing bow posts, nor of Ganyu (Genshin Impact) being able to draw her bow without holding an arrow in some images.

This makes me wonder if we need a tag for bows being drawn with something other than an arrow, because off the top of my head I can't think of a way to search for it. bow -arrow_(projectile) obviously wouldn't work.

I made unconventional_arrow for that FE post, but I don't know how to search for more examples, so for now it'll be a 1 post tag.
