Self explanatory. Makes things easier to look for and allows including filtering for wheter eevee itself should be included with as well with *eevee* or eeveelution
Technically we do, what we've been trying to move away from is overarching group tags.
Well that's what I meant. Catch-all tags for every Artoria (which I admittedly don't entirely agree with) is different from a catch-all tag for a bunch of semi-related, but ultimately separate characters.
For the most part, but it gets intercepted by Inteleon and Lumineon.

Exactly, and eeveelutions may be considered a characters in the website code but in practice they are almost akin to variations of the same character. Plus as they don't really wear a badge or uniform there is no way for newer members or users not logged in to collectively search for them.

We're not jumping through these kinds of hoops to justify the creation of tags that disregard our tagging policies. A general tag or a pool would be okay, if people wanted that, but we've already explained several times in the past why it can't be a character tag.

Rather than implying all of the eevolutions to a tag, I think having a tag or pool for a group of eeveelutions in a single post would be useful.
That can't be used by everyone though. What is a regular user to do? Just look for two eeveelutions at a time? Defeats the purpose a bit IMO
Yeah that's what I'm thinking, impossible for new members and just inconvenient for higher ups. If it wasn't for other pokemon ending in "eon" that could be used but it can't. And it's not like eeveelutions all wear a special uniform that other pokemon do not that you can search for.
That only works if all of them are present in this case, or with an eevee.
Wrong. The tag is for pictures centered around evolutionary lines. A picture centered on the concept of eeveelutions that does not have all of them still absolutely qualifies for the tag. A post featuring just vaporeon, flareon and jolteon for example would be perfectly fine under that tag, and you'll find plenty of similar examples under vaporeon evolutionary_line.

Not really, most results are either vaporeon with all or nearly all eeveelutions and/or with an eevee. It still doesn't fix the above issue of not being able to easily search for them (for instance in solo pictures) as they don't have a suffix exclusive to them or shared unified taggable trait. If they were the only pokemon ending in "eon" that would work but they're not. And it's too many tags for new members to filter out the others while also searching the pokemon_(creature) (Not including that leads to words containing "eon" like "neon" getting included".
Post count for *eon* pokemon_(creature) : 10226 Post count for *eon* pokemon_(creature) -sylveon -jolteon -flareon -espeon -umbreon -leafeon -glaceon -vaporeon : 3847
We don't make umbrella tags for vastly different characters like these just because they share a name, and starting now would set a terrible precedent.
