Weibo Issues

Posted under General

I sometimes get it if I'm doing things too fast, like scrolling down the photo timeline while the page is still loading. Just hitting the back button and waiting for the page to fully load fixes it for me.

Just checked again, now I always get it when scrolling on the regular timeline making it impossible to see regular posts but the photo timeline works normally.

I'm talking about a full-on, "Bad Gateway" error, every single time without fail:

And I don't know why, especially since you are describing how Weibo normally works for me.

Just on desktop or if I try to switch to desktop on mobile. Mobile setup works just fine.

Yes, I get this when scrolling down on the normal timeline but I can switch to the photo timeline and scroll normally.
If it still triggers on the photos timeline (from having loaded the normal one initially) I use the back button to return to the photos timeline and it works normally.

I looked at both domains (mobile-simplified and full-featured). I haven't noticed any problems with various functions.
My “one-off” test is not the result of a full-fledged study. It cannot be ruled out that there is a problem with geolocation or access through certain servers.

Ah. I can't even do that. Which is frustrating.

Could it possibly be a browser issue then? Is something just wrong with Firefox on Desktop? Or is it something wrong with my IP address that apparently only occurs on Desktop?

I suggest downloading the app if you can.
I'm not sure if it's unique to it but on ipad I was able to even follow a decent chunk of artists without a proper account and it's much more stable than using the browser site in my experience.

Does it work adding ?tabtype=album to the URL, e.g. https://weibo.com/u/6348884223?tabtype=album?

No not at all, unfortunately. A shame, as that code looks pretty useful.

Sure enough, the moment I actually bothered to get the app and started searching, I was easily able to find the Weibo variant of post #6349562, and should be able to find any artists I'm interested in that way. A shame it seems any action I take to register an account won't work (as I was hoping to use them in order to get into Lofter proper as opposed to using my messy workaround), but I don't need one if I just wanna browse Weibo. Thank you.

My browser Google Chrome 127.0.6496.3 (Official Build) dev (64-bit) (cohort: Dev). I haven't checked in others.
It could be anything. I doubt that without a technical specialist or an experienced user you can check a lot: change the browser, do not block data (advertising, browser protection, referrs, etc.), proxy/VPN (make sure that the site does not block users for this).
