Puzzle & Dragons tidy up

Posted under General

Recently I have seen growing amounts of Puzzle & Dragons uploads within this year and was wondering how well has the site kept up with current information regarding this ancient 13-year old gacha game. Turns out not so much; as the last time anyone edited List of Puzzle & Dragons characters before me was almost a decade ago (jfc). I, like Myne before her, have to clean off all this dust.

This additionally includes making uniform wiki pages to as much tagged Puzzle & Dragons characters as possible (regarding the games themselves, outside of anime adaptations or their tie-in games throughout, Puzzle & Dragons Z is a special case). When it comes to characters that don't appear in the first game itself that is not so much of a priority (Puzzle & Dragons 0 was just released last month and we might need things related to that if they haven't appeared in the 2012 original game itself).

I have made rudimentary wiki pages for three relatively newer P&D characters: Saline, Remu, and Menoa — but they do not reflect the much older wiki pages for P&D characters such as Haku and Leilan other than listing their primary attribute to which the former three pages have already done to reflect that which is done for Pokémon species pages in regards to their types (P&D has 5 attributes, Pokémon has 18 types). The character list page is also in dire need of sorting and ordering characters within their series or category in that page by attribute (the order goes: Fire, Water, Wood, Light, Dark) — along with adding character tags and series headings (via h6) for P&D monster series that have a lot (read: enough) of their members tagged but not shown in the catch-all character wiki page.

Also, no collab monsters. Doing that is overkill. We can just leave the Emil Chronicle Online and Sanrio collab content grandfathered in but please leave collab characters out of the equation, there's already a bunch of monsters we have to go through (surely it can't top the over 1000 Pokémon we've wiki'd right?).

For a few years now, GungHo has been unusually restrictive when it comes to people trying to gather information about P&D monsters outside of the game itself which makes trying to keep these tags and wiki pages up to code really (but understandably so) hard. If you have questions about where this character should go, what monster series they should go in, or otherwise, message me once you have gather up enough inquiries to have me answer a few for each one. I'd be (moderately) happy to assist.
