Tag implication: ofuda -> talisman?

Posted under General

An ofuda is, according to its wiki, a type of talisman issued by a Shinto shrine.

A few people seem to just be tagging them as talisman instead, not knowing the precise term; I've been going through and changing it to Ofuda where appropriate, but now it occurs to me that perhaps there should be an implication between the two.

I don't really agree with this idea. For one, it is certainly not the first thing that comes to mind when I think of a talisman, but regardless of that the definitions for talisman I think is too broad a concept to really make a tag of.

wikipedia:
A talisman (from Arabic طلاسم tilasm, ultimately from Greek telesma or from the Greek word "telein" which means "to initiate into the mysteries") is an amulet or other object considered to possess supernatural or magical powers.

wikipedia - amulet:
An amulet (...) consists of any object intended to bring good luck and/or protection to its owner. Potential amulets include: gems, especially engraved gems, statues, coins, drawings, pendants, rings, plants, animals, etc.; even words said in certain occasions—for example: vade retro satana—(Latin, "go back, Satan"), to repel evil or bad luck.
