There are a few animals that have tagged variants, or animals that look like variants but aren't. For example, Silverash, Pramanix and Cliffheart are snow leopard boy and snow leopard girl, but they are often tagged as leopard boy and leopard girl, or both. These are difference species, the wikis aren't clear about this but from the wiki of snow leopard, I assume they are supposed to be tagged separately. In this case a lot of their posts need to be gardened.

Another case is dragon girl and dragon boy. Given that we distinguish western dragons and eastern dragons, and eastern dragon horns and eastern dragon tail now, is there use in having western dragon girl, western dragon boy, eastern dragon girl and eastern dragon boy? Or is that overkill?

You have to consider how useful these tags would be, especially since they would inevitably imply dragon girl and dragon boy. Would these tags actually provide some use beyond acting as a combined ~eastern_dragon_horns ~eastern_dragon_tail dragon_girl search? Are there actual differences between the ways personified western and eastern dragons look like beyond the traits they inherit from their non-personified selves?

The invocation of the eastern dragon tags does remind me of topic #23656 though (and topic #25488 more distantly), and how we don't have tags for western dragon horns and tails.

This is why I actually dislike the snow leopard girl and snow leopard boy tags. The only real difference in anime art is ear and tail colors, which is why I had no idea why the tags even existed when regular old leopard girl and leopard boy existed.

I'm only doing this because they are typically completely different from leopard ears & co (at least in color) and should be separated for searching purposes, but these have the same issue as other animal ear/tail tags in that they're used canonically. We tag snow leopard ears because we know the character is a snow leopard personification, not because they look like actual snow leopard ears.
