I'd also argue the Mask should probably be it's own tag separate from the parent tag here just like I did with the orb form of Shingyoku, but figure I should ask before going through the effort as I don't have mass update perms and would need to do it after these 2 are implied too.

Given it's from the same game putting it here, FD is a powered up form of Link so should be implied to him.

Why do you think it should be separate from the boss-fight form? I think both should be implied to the mask since they have the mask motif as part of them and all three are visually cohesive.

I wanted to upvote this but then I checked the other threads and remembered half of Fierce Deity is being occupied by other characters. Namely a giant Super Smash Bros set (post #7826341 for an example). It's more like a possessive spirit than an aspect of Link so I don't think given our art pool we should imply them.

Here's what I'm thinking:

• Remove the Fierce Deity tag from these imagined transformation posts (like post #7826341 or post #4591959) and add a fierce deity transformation tag (or similar) to them; I personally like this better than using a cosplay tag.
• Remove the Fierce Deity tag from posts where his mask is visible (like post #5567451 or post #7964576) and add a fierce deity mask tag to them; Fierce Deity Mask is the official name of the mask in Majora's Mask.
• Rename Fierce Deity to Fierce Deity Link; It's the official name of Link's Fierce Deity transformation.
• Imply Fierce Deity Link to Link.

A couple of things:

• Posts like post #8194408 and post #8194403 gives an original design to Fierce Deity. Not sure what to do about them.
• I'm afraid a tag like Fierce Deity Transformation could lead to a lot of redundancy with Fierce Deity Link, so maybe another more descriptive name could be thought out.
• Interesting how there is no art of other characters transformed into Goron, Zora or Deku. If they were to exist, they might need the proper tag as well.

Since those are species tags it'd just be the race name + alternate species, you can see an example with this zora Rosalina post #8413941.

Exactly! I might make tags for individual masks in the game as well. Out of the transformation masks, only deku mask is tagged while there's no tags for goron mask or zora mask, for example. There's also a few inconsistent tags I found yesterday night, so those will definitely need to be fixed.

I was definitely not aware of the alternate species tag even though it makes total sense for it to exist, that's really good to know.
In an interview, Aonuma described the Fierce Deity Mask as "the memories of everyone in Termina within the mask", so I'm not sure if Fierce Deity is even a being as much as it is a concept.

I think I'll follow through creating fierce deity transformation tag for now. Can always rename it later would the need arise.

Still not sure what to do with post #8194408 and post #8194403 though...
