How do you make "character", "artist" and "series" tags?

for example

son_goku

masao

pokemon

son_goku appears yellow because it's character, masao appears red because he's an artist, etc

how do I make the tags not just normal tags?

When editing a post's tags, prefix the tag you want to change with "character:", "artist:", or "copyright:". See http://danbooru.donmai.us/help/tags .

i'm trying to make an artist tag for the first two for "supernaturalflavour"

and a character tag for "appoule" in the third an it's just not letting me

does anyone know what's going on?

Hm, they're all showing up the correct colors in the tag history but not the post page. It's a site issue, not you.

oh I didn't know about the history thanks

so I guess I'll just wait, maybe it takes a while to show up
