Tag Discussion: shell/seashell

I notice that shell and seashell have a lot of mix-and-match posts, mostly posts that belong in seashell but are in shell, such as post #732198. Shell also has legitimate posts that separate it from seashell, post #730387 post #541090 post #488302 and post #603345 to name a few.

Is a hierarchy necessary for these cases? I would think that certain types of shell should implicate shell.

Of further note are the tags mollusc_shell, clam, seashells (plural), and shell_bikini. Implications and aliases to the proper tags could benefit each of these.

I'm thinking you could have clams depicted on a plate without the shells visible, so I didn't implicate that one. But I implicated the rest.

Also aliased seashells -> seashell

Sorry if this was effectively a dead thread from three years ago, but this is now and I am not sure how to tag images with ammunition for heavy artillery. That is how I would distinguish "shells" from "seashells"...

I don't know much about guns, but is shell_casing the tag you're looking for?

We have the (underused) artillery tag, but I'm not sure if it's what you're looking for.

What about Koopa shells?
