Tag discussion: kneehighs and socks

I wouldn't really call 12 posts with 4 people, (plus one who only popped in at the end to call the argument dumb) "heated" it was just a bunch of stubborn people before we even had electric/acoustic guitar tags.

Separating kneehighs from socks looks nice, if I'm getting this thread right. Agree that the implications chain for striped_kneehighs and the like gets a bit silly.

So the wiki should state something about it?

For popsocks (I moved the pics; pop socks) it claims they are sheer fabric type socks. So though it is likely what the artist is drawing, it is hard to tell when its sheer. If that made sense. So should pop socks be removed as a tag?

Yes, wiki should explain it.

If there's no way for us to visually distinguish them from normal socks then it does seem pointless, yes.
