electric_fan + paper_fan implication to fan

electric_fan -> fan

paper_fan -> fan

uchiwa -> fan

reason: They are both fans and I haven't seen anything that indicates that fan refers to just one or the other.

In fact, the definition for fan lists both of them anyways.

While we're at it, I would like to ask for some clarification of the difference - if there is any - between paper fan and uchiwa. There seems to be a significant amount of overlap between them, or else sloppy tagging.

-1 to electric_fan to fan. I do not believe they should be mixed, the fan tag should be specifically the hand type of fans.

It's a combination of poor definition and sloppy tagging methinks. paper_fan was meant to be any kind of paper fan besides harisen, but harisen kept getting mixed in due to taggers who didn't know any better.

When uchiwa got introduced, I believe it was intended to become distinct from paper_fan as well, but again kept creeping in due to sloppy tagging.

It is possible to clarify the definition paper_fan as strictly any kind of paper fan besides harisen and uchiwa. Examples being post #710206, post #724476. The intersection between the three tags is small enough to be fixable with tag gardening.

Alternatively, paper_fan can become an umbrella tag and include harisen and uchiwa by implication.
