See you're exactly the problem. The finger doesn't have to stab the ring, it simply has to point to the opening of the ring to have the exact same meaning. It's actually the exact same gesture, the penetration isn't necessary.

Also to add, there is apparently a "up the ass" gesture involving thrusting the extended middle finger through the other hand that is curled up. Given using the name "penetration gesture" being rather general in sounding, would this gesture then also fall under this tag as well if such an image were to appear or are we trying to restrict this to a very specific hand gesture?
