I assume he means that sometimes thumbnails get mixed up when loading a page, e.g. an image from your recent uploads having a thumbnail from a different image in one of your subscriptions, with the mismatched thumbnail getting stretched to fit in the original thumbnail dimensions.
This happens to me occasionally, but since it goes away after reloading, I think it's just a minor cache issue.
