No fat chicks?

I was wondering, what exactly is Danbooru's policy regarding fat/WG art? Would artworks by artists such as Nazo or Nerizou be accepted? Whereabouts is the threshold? I assume it does fall under grotesque?

We do have a fat tag and one post by Nerizou. As far as other (fat) images are concerned, it's the usual "if it's good enough to get approved in the mod queue" when it comes to quality of the work itself.

I was asking more along the lines of where the line is drawn.

Yes, most fat-fetish art is seen as grotesque by moderators.

We do have the plump & curvy tags for your perusal.

Personally I wouldn't approve any of them but not for the reasons you think. Nitori's upper arms are too short, Nue's head is weirdly disproportionate to her body, Satori is all torso and I'm not sure how her legs are supposed to connect to her body.

So broadly, "anything's fine if it's not guro/extreme body and done well" applies here? Fat done well is accepted, fat done poorly isn't.

I went ahead and uploaded the Nue one. We'll just have to see what happens now; if it gets approved then I guess I'll upload a few more...

Just to state my own position, there's no explicit ban on "overweight" characters, by any means. It's just that there probably won't be a lot of interest from the community (more specifically, the image moderators) in such material, just for aesthetic reasons. Modding is intentionally a largely subjective process.

Well, there's also furry, scat, photos, nudity photoshops, thumbnails, huge third-party watermarks, and all the other stuff listed in howto:upload.

Fat isn't on the list, but neither is gigantic breasts, and it's one of those tags that lean you toward deletion for good reason.

Another factor to consider is that niche fetishes have a smaller number of artists drawing them, so you have a smaller chance of a good artist happening to draw the image... or something like that.
