Since crossed_legs already implies sitting, the tag crossed_legs_(sitting) is redundant.

post #1409300 = crossed legs while standing, among other posts. And by that I mean posts where the tag is used without the character sitting.
If anything, why do we have separate tags for different positions of crossed_legs and it implied to sitting when it would make much more sense to have crossed_legs neutral than simply use the sitting, standing, or lying_down tags as needed?

Using the tag on that post is against the wiki definition of crossed_legs, which says it is for sitting only.
Why don't we alias crossed_legs to crossed_legs_(sitting)? It would clear up its usage, as well as be more consistent with crossed_legs_(lying) and crossed_legs_(standing). The name "crossed_legs" sounds like a catch-all tag for all three types of leg crossing.

Sorry, I responded too quickly.

That's not a bad idea either. It would at least be more intuitive, and tag combo searches like "crossed_legs standing" don't look like they would be any less accurate than the current crossed_legs_(standing) if posts were properly tagged with standing/sitting/lying.
I would vastly prefer crossed legs to be neutral and to use sitting, standing, and lying with it instead of these cumbersome to type crossed_legs_(*) tags.
Not only are they cumbersome, but they're unintuitive. There's no reason to believe crossed legs is exclusive to sitting character without stopping to read the Wiki for it.
Yrs, agree with the neutral definition of crossed legs. All it needs to mean is that legs are crossed; add other tags as appropriate to flesh out the overall body position.

The options are
- A. Remove implication crossed_legs -> sitting or
- B. Create alias crossed_legs -> crossed_legs_(sitting)
If we go with option A, we'll also need to alias the more specific tags to crossed_legs:
remove implication crossed_legs -> sitting
create alias crossed_legs_(sitting) -> crossed_legs
create alias crossed_legs_(lying) -> crossed_legs
create alias crossed_legs_(standing) -> crossed_legs
+1 for doing this, I think these subtags are a bit too specific and unnecessary.
Also: I just made sure all crossed_legs_(sitting/standing/lying) posts are tagged with sitting/standing/lying too, so that the aliases I mentioned can be done.
Did
remove implication crossed_legs -> sitting
create alias crossed_legs_(sitting) -> crossed_legs
create alias crossed_legs_(lying) -> crossed_legs
create alias crossed_legs_(standing) -> crossed_legs
