yeah, it's not like i'm about to say MODS = FAGS or nothin'. the approval process for danbooru works because it's at the pleasure of people who have shown they have decent taste. but like, why upload it? Because his earlier works were highly regarded, thus he gets by as an artist. The only exception is exceptionally poor, unfunny images that aren't apart of a series

Were this a Japanese comic, with the same art quality and humor it would probably never get approved to begin with and nobody would give a damn. The only exception I can think of is Rifyu, only that about one in ten of his works is actually slightly funny and his art style (for lack of a better name) is original, while lunarisaileron is just mimicking the art style and regurgitating the worst fanon "jokes" in mutations less funny than ever before. I can't help but cringe every time I read it. He's the epitome of trying too hard to be funny.

It's some kind of circular referencing:
-a few picture gets approved for whatever reason, likely because of relatively better quality
-other pictures of the author get approved, by citing previous approval
-the total number of approvals creates implied/perceived quality, finally becoming "too big to delete"

In fairness, I like some of the strips, and much less so for some other ones.

Blanket statement: If you object to reading this dude's (gal's?) strips so much, why do you keep reading them?

To each their own. I found littleshrimp's "jokes" poor in taste, and rather crappy to begin with. That, and filled with injokes. But she contributes to memes, so I'm not surprised half the people like it.

To me, I'm finding this comic at least enjoyable to read. Grow up, y'guys, and stop being so elitist.

Because you have to be knowledgeable about something to criticize it meaningfully.

It's not fine art by any means, but it looks a decent amount of effort and detail went into making this. I've seen enough rough sketches and nearly blank images approved to think that this at least meets quality requirements.
The humor shouldn't matter.
The source shouldn't matter.

If you want to go by quality, the poor shaping of the faces is reason enough for deletion.

Personal preferences are not supposed to be tied into the reasoning for deletion.
The context and content of the image is not a reason for deletion.
The image Quality is the point here.

Also, you may see me as being a 'white knight' for this image/artist, but honestly, the only thing that got me into this is the obvious amount of bias going into this whole fiasco.

Preference plays some part in the approval process to begin with, in that sufficiently funny/charming low quality images may be given a pass.

This is one such case, and to say "This isn't funny enough to warrant a pass" is justified, methinks.

I've seen quite a bit of people interested in the comic, so it may be interesting in a way. I, myself, don't find it horrible, but I understand why people want to delete it considering quality. It's just dumb how there is a ruckus about deleting or not these and, like I've pointed before there are others comics in similar situation but nobody says a word about them. At least it should have given the same treatment to images of similar characteristics.

Of course the content matters. Especially in the case of what's supposed to be a comedy 4koma. What is it if not for humorous content or, in this specific instance, the lack thereof.

To be honest, most of the comics in this pool don't have jokes that merit giving them a pass on the artwork. I don't mind if they're deleted - if someone complains, they can always just click the source and read them on deviant art.

I'm only willing to accept being part of a pool if the story has a narrative or if there is something that would be missed with some posts missing.

This series isn't that interesting, and the art and the writing, as I said, are poor.

There are occasional comics that are decent enough but this one was bad enough that it deserved to be ax.

Things like BKUB and the other things like that are a different case since that's kinda the point, but even then, not every post needs to be saved.

And someone brought up that humor doesn't matter. Again, something could have really good art and be a comedy 4koma that falls flat at comedy and its fine.

Just this really has no redeemable qualities and for those interested in the artist, you can track him at deviantart if this gets deleted.

Also time and effort are irrelevant, and I'd feel bad if he put any real effort into this writing since its pretty unfunny.

Tl;dr, its not a good picture and its not funny enough to stay, nor is it part of a narrative.

As a sidenote, this series in general has a tendency of overexplaining the joke and completely lacks any sort of comedic timing or pacing. It does the ctrl+alt+delete thing of just dumping words on you rather than using the visual medium to any real effect, leading to bullshit like having 3 panels of people talking.
