Ironically, random patterns are the hardest to dodge...

I was thinking about this another day... how random danmaku is almost a hack of the spellcard idea (you were supposed to make patterns) that ends being stupidly clever. Cirno is the first boss you meet in the windows Touhou series to use random bullets and it's very appropriate.

Perfect Freeze is Eternal Meek. It's been a while since I played, but her other cards (except Icicle Fall) line up with later cards as well. I always liked Cirno for that, she really tries.

Marisa is speaking in sort of a rural dialect style, but I wouldn't know how to convey that properly in translation.

Diamond Blizzard resembles Extreme Color Typhoon. Scarlet Netherworld has shards that move in a criss cross pattern similar to Icicle Fall (tighter and much faster though), and both cards have vertical(ish) projectiles as well (the yellow balls and the streams of falling shards). What's Hailstorm's equivalent?

Perfect Freeze is nowhere near as fast as Eternal Meek. I can get through PerFree without bombing but its very rare that I get through Eternal Meek without using one.

And they work really well if the enemy using them has the foresight to restrict the range enough to avoid getting hit by their own attack (unlike Cirno).

For some reason, it is the oposite for me: I can dodge perfect freeze easily and eternal meek blindfolded! But when it comes to patterns, i am screwed!
