F-14AF

扶桑国防海軍の主力艦上戦闘脚。80年代、F-4戦闘脚の老朽化に備え、扶桑国防海軍は艦隊防空専門の要撃機の必要性を示唆した。国産機の開発は当時難航し、有事の際には同じく防衛協定を結ぶリベリオン海軍との、部品・資材の互換性を持つ事も考慮されて、F-14トムキャットのライセンス生産の権利を得ることになった。迎撃シミュレーションでは要求を満たす性能を発揮し、空母航空隊に数十機が配備された。術式以外の基本部分はリベリオン海軍のF-14Aとほぼ同一である。

The Fusou Marine Defense Force's mainstay carrier-based fighter Striker Unit. The FMDF's aging F-4 fleet in the 80s spoke to its need for a modern interceptor unit that specialized in carrier-based operations. Due to the difficulties in developing a solution domestically from scratch, and also taking into account compatibility with the Liberion Navy's units, with whom Fusou had signed a treaty of mutual emergency defense, it was decided to pursue a license for the F-14 Tomcat. Its ability to fulfill their requirements was demonstrated in simulation, and several tens of carrier-based squadrons units were deployed. It's practically identical to the Liberion Navy's F-14A in most respects.

Sigh... you'd think that if the Fusoan's were going to invest in Liberion F-14's, they'd also invest in something better than Arisaka bolt-action rifles for the witch's small-arms...

I think that's more Principal's preference than anything else. Note that Maj. Tokugawa in post #981189 carries a Howa 89.

Well the translation you provided of the Principal's profile does state that it's a custom sniper rifle based on the Type 38. I wonder if it was rechambered for a more powerful cartridge.

So, is there an official site for all this work or is it only seen here? Also, I wish to take a crack at writing a short story but I have no clue how to get in contact with anyone involved in this project for their approval.
