This drawing are from the manga from the artist. Which is quite similar, it only has a bit different story (1 guy, girls are part of an exchange program and need a place to stay). The name is "Monster Musume no Iru Nichijou".

As much as I love this manga, there's one thing I gotta ask: are there really no other people in Japan who would be suitable hosts? It seems kind of weird that the government keeps dumping the responsibility of looking after all these monster-girls (who are all completely new to modern human society, and much stronger than him to boot) on just this one guy.

Of course, if they did that, we wouldn't have much of a harem manga...

Funny thing is that they did brought this point up at several points in the manga, even way back in the first chapter. The TL;DR version of the reason why is that the protagonist is somehow "special".

...Apparently being a nice guy is a government-approved superpower now, and not a common trait for main "loser" protagonists.

Just reread all the chapters again, and now I remember why all the monster girls end up at the hero's house: Ms. Smith accidentally sent Miia to him instead of the real host family, and after that she's just kept doing it because it's less work than finding new hosts families every time a monster girl arrives. So the main reason there's even a harem in the first place is because Ms. Smith is too lazy to do her job properly. Gotta love that woman.
