So far, Kubo's never brought her up again. But given how much he loves doing costume designs, he'll probably bring her back later with a new outfit & show those idiot Fraccions of hers in their true forms.
Kinda dumb if you ask me. There was clearly something happening there between her and Ichigo, even if it was an innocent crush. Not to mention how abruptly she was kicked out of the picture. There was so much room for character development there that just didn't happen. I mean, even those stupid filler characters in the anime got more of a finality than Nel.

Hey, that's not true. Nel had more finality than any of the filler characters. Plus, she returned in the manga.
