Riders: Overprotective humans but at the same time encourage them to mature.

Erm, what?

That might fit Waver well enough, but it doesn't come even *close* to describing Sakura or her relationship to Rider....

The region in Greece and some neighboring countries is Macedonia. The country itself is formally called Former Yugoslav Republic of Macedonia, or FYRoM for short, as a result of a protracted legal battle and agreement with Greece (an agreement which, may I add, Greece honors when it feels like it: not often/never).

A person hailing from either is called a Macedonian in either case. The era decides whether it's someone from the historical region or FYROM.
