Shiki's "However" in panel 2 is what I have a problem with. That shouldn't be an issue. Lack of trust someone with the capability to read minds is honestly pretty stupid in this case, since it doesn't in any way lessen their ability to manage the former hell.
Furthermore, Shiki should realize from her experiences as the position of a judge that the reason mindreaders are hated is the prevalence of guilty hearts and perverted minds in society. After all, she sees all that too. In essence, Shiki is a mindreader of even greater capacity than Satori (though limited by the circumstance of a dead person being judged) since she looks at everything a person did over their life.
