I noticed both Yamame and Kisume are talking to each other really politely. Kind of doesn't fit their images in my head, but it makes their relationship even sweeter. They're my favorite pair in Touhou to be honest.

...Which is why I'm fearing the new Perfect Memento in Strict Sense. I hope nothing like "the earthen spider and bucket-dropper actually hate each other" is mentioned. But considering what happened with Letty and Cirno....

It was mentioned how Letty does not like to be confused with a certain ice fairy or something. Somehow that translated into being "Letty does not like Cirno." to some people.

Although, honestly I don't think that Letty meant it in any ill intent.
That's pretty much like me saying I don't want to be mistaken for Korean/Vietnamese/Japanese/ETC, but that does not necessarily mean I dislike them.

I think a better example would have to be Momiji and Aya.

I read it more as a power thing, she's making a point that she represents a whole season and not just one aspect of it.

Ah, I seem to have caused some minor confusion without intending. But I thought people were familiar with this.

Well, it's because of the way Letty put it in the interview. She referred to Cirno in rather hostile manner. "妖精なんか" is a rude expression to use on someone, after all. The Shadow also has it right: Letty is a lot stronger than Cirno, so people putting them together would be offending to her.
