Eh, fairly standard. In-law of the opposite gender is insanely difficult to get along with and conversations are like war, while the in-law of the same gender is cordial and kind, albeit firm and unyielding in disagreement/threats on certain issues.

A part of me thought Shirou was going to bring home Kotomine. Then it really would have been funny.

I can imagine him in a bar talking to Kotomine about it:

"My son brought home his supposed girlfriend the other day."
"Annnnd, what happened?"
"I lost my shit."

What do you suppose Kotomine would say in response? What would he say about Caren and Avenger?
