"Bishoujo" literally means "beautiful girl(s)", but this particular term is used almost exclusively to refer to characters in the style of Anime/Manga/etc. rather than 3d people."Otome wa Boku ni Koishiteru"
The Maidens are Falling in Love with Me
The title of an adult visual novel. It is interesting to note that this title is spelled with Kanji that differ from how this title is actually read (which is specified on the cover of the visual novel with furigana). In particular, "otome", which means only little girls, and thereby only implicitly has a meaning of maiden (i.e. a virgin), is spelled with the Kanji "処女" (Usually read "shojo"), which explicitly mean a female virgin. Furthermore, "boku", a first person singular pronoun (i.e. equivalent to the English "I" or "Me", although Japanese has multiple first person singular pronouns, each with different connotations) which has connotations of boyishness, is spelled with the Kanji "お姉さま" (usually read "oneesama"), which is a respectful term for "elder sister" (but can sometimes be used to address young women by children younger then them)."The seven peerless little sisters of Sengoku"
