I think that would be Arcs de Triomphe, like passersby or mothers-in-law.

I'm also trying to decide how messed up it is that I could tell he was a Westerner because he had an entire face.

I was taken aback by this souvenir, but I will gratefully decorate my home with it. I'd love to go see the real thing someday.

I wanted to offer him something but no matter how hard I thought about it, I couldn't find something "better" than an Eiffel tower. French whine or some Champagne but is it OK to offer alcohol in something like the comiket ? To someone I don't really know ? I didn't wan't to experience an awkward moment due to that.

Well, alcoholic drink is not common gift, as the receiving party might not drink, or even hate it. But if you give it to a drinker, it is gonna be a big boost for relationship. I think you did the right thing. From his comic, it is rare to see Mizuki get wasted. Rather he seems to prefer sweets or food. Maybe he'd like some bon bons? With whiskey in them?

But to see Sanaewife.. You lucky sunofagun.

We do, even if it's mostly depending of the location.

Poilu, you're so lucky to get to see Mizuki-san again. Definitely dress up next time and bring him some sweets, I'm sure he'd love that. Winter Comiket would be the best time, since you wouldn't have to worry about the heat melting chocolates and similar treats.

I second the ISS. Mizuki-san would never have to worry about gaining weight up there! (What with weightlessness in space in full swing, after all.)

Thim time, I tried to speak Japanese too but my Japanese isn't great at all since I can only read and know a few words thanks to animés.

If there is a next time, I doubt I will be able to go to japane anytime soon, but I sure do hope so !
