I love how she is holding a foot of her best friend in her hands and she doesn't give a fuck about it

She's a youkai, after all. Mortality isn't something they understand readily, and Rumia's quite childish even for a youkai.

I thought Rumia was the culprit.
I thought those were footless-sandal before seeing the comment.

I remember reading this for the first time, I felt honestly sick when I got to this page.

I personally think the story would have been kind of more awesome if Rumia WAS the culprit, because even if she ate Chitose, it would have been out of complete innocence. She had an epiphany that made complete sense from a youkai standpoint. She wanted to be more together with Chitose, but how? "Oh I know, I'll put her inside of me! That way, we can be together forever!" They couldn't blame her for her actions, it's like blaming a dog for licking its own balls for sanitary purposes. Punish her, perhaps, but if this had been the case, they would only truly have themselves to blame in the end, for leaving a youkai unattended together with defenseless children.

People like to cutify the characters. This is fine, but I would've liked it if they retained a lot of what makes youkai, YOUKAI. Yes, she can still turn into a giant black blob and devour a creature a hundred times her size, and yes, it says on her profile that she eats humans, however prefers not to, because it's a bother, but man, would it have been ever so more dark the other way around.
