Currently, a lot of Thai artists (from differing generations) are drawing popular media staples (such as anime) in the traditional Thai style (as depicted in the thread provided by henmere.
Additionally, not only is the art style mimicked, but captions, phrases, terminology that is usually associated with the original source is also changed. Or antiquated, to be more precise.

For those who wonder,this and other works in henmere's link is part of a current meme in Thailand call Thai-style art,which are works of popular anime done in traditional (read:old-very old fashion) Thai arts (ye olde thai words optional,but prefer). It starts with the news of a thai artist,zpolice,who won Dengeki Taishou's Gold Prize for light novel illustration,and then someone complain that his work is "too japanese" and "not thai enough",so people starts making works that does looks "thai". Also,this pic's translated into something like "even if you're weird,I still love you" but in old thai words version,so anyone who know ye olde english feel free to translated it.
Lol, this kind art aren't made to look beautiful but rather to look funny. Imagine Rikka drawn in ancient Egyptian, Aztec, or Mayan style. lol

Note:
Part of this Thai-style parody is the appropriating of highly traditional, if not classical, language. To offer a similar case in example, there is the Medieval Macros/Bayeux Tapestry memes ("My milkshake bringeth all ye gentlefolk to the yard.."). Unfortunately, much of the humor WILL be lost in translation. I've done what I can.
