Isn't it kinda Flanderizing the character a bit much to make Meiling actually overtly SAY her goal in life is to "slack off" as much as possible?

Oh come on, this series is far too predictable for that - Remi never gets hit with the slapstick and is just there for looking cute but never does anything "improper". It's Patche and Meiling that are the series chew toys.
