No, you shouldn't translate things you don't understand. It's better to leave it to someone else than risk an inaccurate translation. See howto:translate.

There's only one way to get better at something and thats to practice doing it. You can always add the check_translation tag if you're confident in what you're doing and want a second opinion just to be sure, or you can post the translations in the comments and compare them to someone else's when they add them to see where you may need improvement or as a translation in general.

I think I said it wrong to let you misunderstand. I will help in the translation only when I know the actual meaning, and for those I don't know or too profound I'll just leave it alone. Thanks for reminding though!

Ah, I must have read your post a bit too quickly, my apologies. I think you're doing a good job translating so far, keep it up.

Yes, I didn't mean someone shouldn't try to understand things above their current reading comprehension - practice is great. The problem is that I've seen more bad translations being done lately and have been trying to remind people to avoid that when I can. It's not really an issue in this case, though.
True, Translating what you know and getting better by practice isn't the same as offhand guessing, which the latter is what makes bad translations.
Eat up lots alright? Yuugi...A... aughh...AAAAAAAAHH!!Aren't you an oni?! We're both the same!Aaughhh...Why are you throwing beans like humans do...?...We sure live a long life don't we...
I don't know how many beans we should eat, but...It's customary to eat as many soybeans as your age for good luck on Setsubun.
